Band 5 MTO2 Plaster Technician 37.5 hours per week
We would like to employ a plaster technician, with the British Casting Certificate, to join our enthusiastic and friendly team based in the Outpatients Department. The post holder’s main role would be as a member of the multidisciplinary team within the fracture clinic and plaster room, caring for both trauma and orthopaedic patients.

If you do not have this, you must be willing to undertake a period of approximately one year's training before attending a residential course to attain this Certificate. This will be supported by the Trust. PART TIME TUTOR BOA/RCN[SOTN]/AOT Casting Techniques Courses
We are looking for assistance with the practical teaching on the above courses. The five week courses currently run three times a year and are held at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust at Stanmore, Middx.
You will be joining an enthusiastic team, teaching and supporting varied groups of people. This work is not only challenging, but rewarding and enjoyable. The sixteen course members come from a technical and/or nursing background and from a wide range of age and experience. Many travel from all areas of the UK and abroad.
Requirements Essential:BOA/RCN[SOTN]/AOT Casting Techniques Certificate Holder 5 Years experience in casting
Preferable:Experience working with Trauma and Orthopaedic Patients Teaching Qualification Teaching experience
We can only offer part-time hours. Working self-employed paid by the hour plus some travel expenses. (Band 6 equivalent hourly rates depending on experience)
